Ah, Oscar night. I'm not a fan, but I decided to watch it while I did work. I have to admit, that the beginning was good, because Billy Crystal did a nice intro to it, and it was really well done.
For the most part, today is pretty non-eventful. I got up, did some work, went to the mall to pick up some pants from Sears, and found more pants on sale for like $7.99. I couldn't help myself, so I got 2 pairs. I used my Sears gift certificates, so they were essentially free for me.
I really like shopping for clothes, or even browsing. My gig is to find neat clothes for inexpensive prices. I love the clearance racks, as they have some pretty neat stuff. Most times it's pretty ugly, but usually I can find a gem or two there.
Last night I went to see Rome and Jules. It's hard to find information on this play, but here's what the Elgin theater Website says about it..
February 24 – 29, 2004
Rome and Jewels – presented by UCR2 Inc., written and directed by Rennie Harris
This new hip-hop performance is built upon the themes of “West Side Story” and Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” The story is retold through the eyes of a hip-hop poet using dance, original music with remixed and edited samples of current popular music and the spoken words of the MC/Rapper
Many people I've heard who've seen it hated it. I think that if you're not a fan of hip-hop or rap, or modern kinda dance, you'll hate it. Not being anything, but those people I've heard who saw it and didn't like it were not fans of urban music or anything. I thought it was amazing. The dancing was superb, and the music was incredible. 3 live DJ's on stage, beat poetry, rap and freestyle dancing with some Shakespearian canto's thrown in? Just amazing.

I just got home (well, about 45 minutes ago) from Steve Campbell's place. Chris and I had a pretty relaxing evening with lots of libations to consume. It was nice to chill, talk and catch up on old times.
But the topic of conversation was Steve's thumb. So, here's the story. Steve was using an electric hand blender. He wanted to clean it off, so he turned it over, and tried to take off some stuff with his thumb. His other thumb (on his other hand) was still on the switch, and turned it on. Lo and behold, Steve chopped a part of his thumb off. It was just the fleshy underside, but apparently he'll have a smooth, strange looking thumb. I'm glad that he's o.k.
What else? When I dropped Chris off at home in Ajax, I took the new Salem Road exit from the 401. It was nice. New, and wide open. You can actually see traffic oncoming from all sides. Good Job, Ajax. And I noticed that they're tearing down the old Harwood bridge. That was a mess with all the traffic.

Holy Crap!
Sorry, I just noticed my counter.
I have no clue how that happened. Thanks for everyone who's reading about my dull life. Last time I checked (a few days ago, it was at 300).
And since the Oscars are coming up this sunday...
I would like to thank Chris, Brad Tripp, Brad Mike, Steve Little, Steve Campbell, Sean Wilson, and anyone else who is a regular here.
if you are, please let me know you're reading this. Email me!!! rawlchan@rogers.com

Right now I'm waiting to hear back from Jay-Jay; Steve Campbell's brother. Chris and I were supposed to be heading down to Steve's for a few drinks and some fun. But at 6:00(ish) I got a call from Steve. He said he was on his way to the Hospital because he accidentally chopped part of his thumb off. I don't quite know the details, but I don't think it is as serious as one would think. He seemed to be in pretty good spirits, and sounded o.k, but that could have been shock.
So, Chris and I are waiting...
And Waiting...
and waiting.

It's a nice day out. The sun is shining, and it's Friday!
I don't really want to do any work this afternoon. I wonder how I can get away with doing nothing?
I know...Let us just chill, and relax.
Tonight, I'm gonna go to Steve Campbell's place. Chris is going to join. Apparently Steve is going to buy beer! I'm there!

Just got back from tea with Chris...Another geek out session. It's getting scary. Chris and I talked about Star Trek, Transformer Conventions, video games, and even Doctor Who. That's getting sci-fi'ed out.
Steve Campbell wants us to come and visit him tomorrow night, which I think I'm going to do. Well, I shouldn't say think, but I am. Trying to get Chris to come would be fun as well...As Steve offered to pay for beer and food and stuff. But we'll see what happens.
I hate this time of year. Let's just leave it at that...
But things seem all a-Go for March Break...Fort Lauderdale! I'm looking forward to that.

Tara's on a Theatre kick, it seems.
Last week, it was the ballet. This Saturday, it's Romes and Jules, the Hip-hop version of Shakespeare, and now next week, it'll be Mamma Mia. I'm not complaining, because she's taking me. But it's quite a bit.
I still want to go to Stratford to see The Count of Monte Cristo.
We have a tank full of fish here at work, and there's a guy who takes care of it. But for me, having fish for over 10 years, I know how to take care of tanks, and cleaning, and all that stuff.
When you talk to a person who doesn't know much about tanks, and tries to tell you what to do, it's hard to listen. Bottom line, I had to bring in the Python and clean the tank, all the while explaining tank chemistry and simple physics on how the siphon works.

Ah, it's Tuesday. Y'know what? I missed Rick Mercer's Monday night report.
Yeah, the Leaf game was on, and we lost 2-1 to Carolina, but still, I would still like to have some Mercer for the week.
Today? Not a bad day. My partner in Crime at work and I tried to figure out our next outing. We got some cool ideas, but to get the funding from a particular interest group may be difficult. Who knows? Like the liberals, this group has a slush fund, that they need to spend. And man, do I have things I would like to have.
I think I should teach some B.F. Skinner in my workplace. Some of the people I deal with all day should understand about how some behaviors are rewarded and some are punished. Or was it Pavlov? Who had that experiment? Pavlov had his dog who salivated (mmm....Saliva....), but...Anyway..What is this about?
You would figure after 2 months of telling someone everyday without fail what to do, they would figure it out. So, after the 50th time, you get a bit tired, so you impose some rules about the next time you do a wrong behaviour. Well, It took 4 punishments to get one person to realize what they were doing.
it's amazing how 'unconnected' some people are to the rest of society.
Oh, no real Tara quotes today. She was disappointed with me because I was discussing some 'strange' topics with some co-workers. It involved 2 guys and a girl, and well...Let's leave it at that.
I didn't tell her that I drew pictures on a white board. I'm not a bad artist, if I do say so myself!
Yes, Brad, Steve and the others...It was a discussion of the "wobbly H".

Well, not to bad, being back at work from essentially a 5 day break. Now, the three days before the weekend were in no way slack, but not the usual thing. Very nice.
Man, y'know how you work with some people, and they drag you down every chance they get, not because they're trying, but because they're 'life-suckers'. I think J.K. Rowlings addressed this phenomenon in her Harry Potter books with the Dementors. They kinda suck the life and the will out of you.
Oh, I didn't write this, but I should. Tara has a friend named Natalie Berrie. Now, once in a while she says something that I find very entertaining. I wanted to pay tribute to a fabulous line that she said when we were out Saturday night.
It has to do with what I was talking about. Natalie has a co-worker at her office who does the same thing, but to a higher degree. I complain, but I know it's not as bad as what she goes through. This 'Life-sucker' talks about his day, and what he did, like its the most important thing. And out of courtesy, he asks her, "and how was your evening/weekend (whatever)?". Natalie, thinking that it will be different from every other time she gets asked this question from this person responds with "Well, I went out with some friends..."
"That's great," the response is from the person, and he walks away. And Natalie's like is "Damn....Why do I always take the bait?" I like this line.
O.k., I can see where this is going...Don't compare me to an e-Dementor...You have the choice to read about my life or not. You can click 'back' on your browser or whatever...

It's been a few days...
what's been going on? I went to Kearney with Work. Kearney is an Outdoor Education Centre where you get to do all kinds of things outside. I went skiing for the first time, which was fun. Cross country and a Tiny Bunny hill for downhill.
Let's try this....Wednesday- took a bus to Kearney. We got to the centre around 1:00, but because the centre switched our sleeping arrangements and the buss was late, we were running extra late. It seemed like we were slacking in our jobs, but it was through things not in our control. Scott, who is one of the other people I went with and I were getting frustrated because we were being blamed for being late. We expressed our concerns about why we felt this way, and things turned out really well. After that, we had clear sailing.
Wednesday night- Let's just say that Grade 6's don't like to sleep. Especially the girls. What do they have to talk about? I don't really know, but apparently the boys talked about girls they liked, and the girls talked about the boys they liked. It was entertaining.
Thursday - Skiing, snowshoeing, snowball fights, eating, and some other stuff.
Friday - Same, but now I was tired. All week, I've been getting about 3-6 hours of sleep at night. This trip, I averaged about 5 hours a night...Oh well. It's all part of the job.
What else? Nothing really. I went with Tara on Friday night to see 50 First dates. It's an interesting movie. I like Adam Sandler, and it was nice to see a movie not try to have a completely happy ending.
Saturday, Tara and I went out to Colbourne to see my friend Alex, and his wife Lisa and his two (!) children, Airica and Mason. (Airica is pronounced 'Erica'). It was fun. I always like going out to see them, as I miss Alex. I do wish he would move closer to the city (of Pickering!!!). Oh well. He's content out there, and I don't mind the drive. What's funny, is that he lives down the road from a giant Apple. If you don't know where Colbourne is, if you drive east from Toronto, going towards Kingston, there's a giant Apple on the side of the 401. That's where Colbourne is.
And today, I went to get a new belt. The belt I had broke, because I thought it was leather, but it was 'simulated' leather. I got that belt wet, and all kinds of conditions it should not have been under, and it broke. Now, I went to get a new belt, and came home with a new jacket, 2 pairs of pants and a belt. No more shopping...But it's a nice jacket.
Oh, Jasse's going to Monte Carlo as a prize for winning something at work. Jerk. Monte Carlo? Bastard.

I'm getting ready to go to Kearney. I've got basically a whole whack of electronics I'm taking. I'm taking a digital Video Camera, a digital camera, my iPod (for the bus...), my cell, walkie-talkies, and my iBook. It does seem a bit much, but that's what I like.
It's basically so I can take lots of pics for a project later I have to do.
I was pricing out Columbia Jackets, and the cheapest I found was $179. They seem really good, but I'm gonna wait until like Spring when the season is over.
lots to do. Can you believe how quick Long underwear sells out?

Two blog references in one Night!!!
I'm the man.
I'm in Chris' blog, and in Jasse's blog. However, is this just shameless self-promotion? Is it just to see my name in Cyberspace? Hell, yeah!
What else? It's late, and I'm on some pretty heavy cold medication. I'm trying to shake this cold before I go away up north for three days. Which is why I'm kinda mellow, and all that.
I talked to Tara tonight, and we were discussing those people who don't like the ballet. I like to quote Tara, so here goes...
"Is it my fault I don't like to sniff my armpits and drink stale beer?" Tara asked. This is in reference to those who do not enjoy the finer arts. I think it's a bit harsh, but I feel that way towards other things.
Oh, Transformer Con? I'm curious.... Chris told me that coming up in March is a Transformer Convention. Interesting.
Oh, Robotech.....What a story. I think only Jasse and I really understand the complexity of how the story runs. But Chris (Who's the anime expert) was telling me that there are more Macross movies in Japan. I can believe him, but the creator Carl Macek(?) seems not to want to release them to the north American audience.
crappy.

T-minus one day until I go away for 3 days.
I'm just in a chill mood...I'm not sure if it's me, or the medication I'm on. I'm getting sick, and I'm on so much 'anti-cold' medication, I don't think I can feel my head.
I like that feeling. I'm kinda floating around.
woo hoo

Jasse finally got his blog up!
Check it out.
Man, everyone else is more eloquent then I.
Oh, The Simpsons tonight was quite strange. Good, but strange.

I went to the Ballet last night. I was pretty good. I quite enjoyed the dancing and the grace at which the dancers moved. If you're interested, check out thier site at THE NATIONAL BALLET of CANADA.
I urge Brad Tripp and Steve Campbell to go to the ballet. Wow, were the ballet dancers (ballerinas?) attractive.
What else? Just getting ready to go away for a few days. It's a business trip, so to speak. I'm going up to Kearney for a 3 day adventure. It should prove to be fun.
I wonder if Jasse has his blog ready?
Oh, nothing really new to report. Wait..I know...I am an avid reader of Macleans Magazine, and this week's cover story is on Rick Mercer. I am a huge Rick Mercer fan, which made the magazine even more enjoyable. It was just kinda cool to read about Rick and where he came from. It's nice to know a little background on some of your favourite canadian icons.
But if you've not yet seen it, I suggest you catch Rick Mercer's Monday night report. Brad went to see the taping on Friday, so i guess they tape on Friday, and edit all weekend, but that's TV. What can you say?

I had the day off, but to go see a speaker, and go to a trade show. The trade show was o.k, but the speaker was amazing. If you ever get the chance to see Stephen Lewis speak...Go. Run, don't walk to it. You'll be happy you did.
Stephen was a diplomat, UN guy, and politian. He's done many neat things, and has tried to make a difference in peoples lives globally. Just to have that opportunity, wowser!
What else? Tara went to another workshop. She didn't quite enjoy it, but that's o.k. You can't be 100%.
Um, Jasse's gonna start a blog. Apparently he has, but it's not public, so I don't know if that counts. As soon as he has it set up, I'll post his address.
What else? Brad Mike leaves today. I have his guitar. He said "Take good care of him.".
"Who?" I inquired.
"My guitar," Brad replied, gently caressing the headstock.
My guitars are girls. But it'll be good for them to have a male in their presence.

Ugh...14 hour day.
I had to do some stuff after work, and then go back to work for a meeting.
But...Today was a good day. The Union I work for has a Dragon Boat Team. I joined. I'm gonna be on the Dragon boat. It should be really fun.
What else? Y'know when you vent about something, and the wrong person hears...Well, they're not the wrong person, but their the person you know that could make everything better? It kinda happened today. I was venting about something, and the two people who are on the forefront of thing I told. I didn't know who I was talking to.
Strange. Does that make any sense?
Oh, Conan in T.O? Cool, but all these people who n'er give a rat's tail are going crazy. Not that Jazz FM is very elite, but when two of the broadcasters are talking about it, that's odd. Especially between the BBC world news reports...
"there was another car bombing in the Gaza Strip...."
"yeah, did you tape Conan last night?" "No, realized I don't know how to set my VCR" "That's very embarrassing" "Yes...."
ugh.

"yeah, did you tape Conan last night?" "No, realized I don't know how to set my VCR" "That's very embarrassing" "Yes...."
ugh.

I made Generalissimo in Sean's army of Evil. Woo Hoo!
Wow, if I say something nice, so I go up in Rank? I wonder if I could compliment myself upt to Governerissimo Generalissimo?
I'm watching a movie at work about the history of people from the First Nations point of view. It's pretty cool.
Today was a nice and relaxing day. I took a new look at what I am doing, and how I interact with others, and it's made a huge difference!
And I'm glad that Jasse's reading this daily. He's my brother, if you didn't know, and he's a dad. It's strange for me to say that still, as he's always been my brother, and now he's got his own family.
What else? I've got to get some 'secret Valentines' stuff for work on Wednesday. It's gonna be hard, as the person I got has some strange tastes. I'm not going to disclose it as this person may be reading this.
Am I that lucky?
Oh, I'm going to the Ballet with Tara. I'm being made fun of at work, but I say "Phooey on them". I'm enlightened. I like art and music.
Brad Mike openly called himself a metrosexual. Am I? I don't know. I don't think so. But I know some people would be quick to call me something else.
Screw them.

Wowser, what a day.
Y'know those things you do to help others out, and you have the best intentions, and then it backfires in your face?
Today was a whopper of that. All day, my colleagues and boss took flack for a project I started and am in the middle of. People who are indirectly involved are all attacking me, and trying to make them feel better. I'm sure these people see that they're doing a good thing protecting what's important to them, but it's the long term value they miss out.
Sometimes I wish that I was doing something else.
I can't wait until February is done.
Why? My dad has asked me to go to Ft. Lauderdale with him. I was hesitant at first, but I think I can use the break. I have a million things to do that I'm holding off for the march break, but I think I'll kick myself into high gear, and get them done.
I can use 7 days away, right?

I went out for a drink with Brad Mike. He's going to New Zealand on Friday. I'm quite excited for him, but I will miss him. I know he's a hard bastard to get hold of, and to get out to have a drink or something, but having him out of the hemisphere is even harder.
It's like having Mark in England. But that's o.k.
The Grammy's are on now, and I don't really care. I saw Parliament Funkadelic play, with a host of people on stage, which was cool, but that's all I would want to see.
Nothing exciting to report.
Just a comment. If you get a chance, read Sean's blog. Man, he's good. It's really funny.

Tara and I just watched "Better luck Tomorrow". It's a movie about a bunch of Asian teenagers who are very smart and get all crazy with how smart they are and do all kinds of stuff.
O.k, I'm not a film critic, nor someone who could summarize the movie quickly, but here's a good review of it. (Click here for Review)
Yeah, it's late. Nothing really to say. I just wanted to say something.

Last night I went to Brad's place for my daily dose of brad. Tara calls it "Tripp time". Yes, it is.
Trippy and I had a few beers, and watched shows from our celebrated CBC. We watched This hour has 22 minutes, and some others, and then at 10 or so, on the Comedy channel, a show called "Puppets who Kill" came on. Tripp said it wasn't good, but the episode we watched was good.
After many beers and fun, Ady and ben came over. That was cool, as it's been a while since we've seen them.
Benny told us of his life, in a Government job. Shesh! I thought my job was bad sometimes...I shouldn't complain.
Ady was relaying stories about law school, but I didn't hear her. I overheard her telling brad that she's not sure what she wants to do after she gets her law degree.
What's funny, is that Ady is really smart, and she could do whatever she wanted. It would be cool to see her be a lawyer, as we would ask for some free legal advice . Again, I don't even know what I would ask her.
So, Friday night finished off with Brad and I playing Tiger Woods Golf. It was pretty good. Brad let me be Tiger, so I was doing really well. He was some girl, who was pretty cute. Not as cute as some other girls, but not bad. Again, how sad is it when we're gawking at the CGI Golf player?
Then this morning, I went for my hair cut. I got it re-dyed (a nicer, more tame colour) and then a new cut. I asked for the "Brad Pitt messy shaggy on top look, and the hair-dresser knew.
And now I'm trying to network 2 Macs together, which apparently is as easy as turning on your file sharing, and hooking them up with a cross-over cable. I did that, but I didn't work. I have a funny feeling that my cross-over cable doesn't work.
oh well.

It's getting pretty slick outside. Usually it takes me 20 minute to get to work. But today, 45.
I'm still on the hunt for a good Guest book.
I keep telling people that I'm in a good mood, but nobody believes me. Oh well...
not my problem...

Here's a quote from a friend...Brad Mike to be exact.
"Blogs suck. Even if Ernest Hemingway had a blog, it would blow!"
I think that it's funny, as he claims these suck. He read it.
What else? I'm in the middle of trying to get a Guest book on this. Tara wants to post messages to me, and make fun of me. Well, since this is a pretty public venture, why not? I'm trying to find a good one. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to email me.
What else? I know it's going to be full moon, because it seems everybody has gone crazy. Many people I've talked to have commented that it's getting hairy out. I can agree.
Oh, I had cornflakes for breakfast.
Nothing really new. Jasse, if you're reading this, EMAIL me. What's up

It's 100's Day. To clear up some confusion, I am not going to say what my job is on this because it may get me in trouble. I'm not sure if someone could just stumble upon this site. I've not yet submitted this to be on a search engine, but hopefully soon, I will. I want to have a cool site that's almost a neat portal for stuff...so you can find out about me, and maybe see how the weather is, and stuff like that. Also, I would like to have a page for as many friends as I can, and tell what they're up to.
But again, there is a small number of people reading this. I've kept the numbers small, but if you look at my counter, it's not bad....I have that many hits on my page.
And I promise I don't go on and hit 'refresh' a few times to up the counter. However, if YOU wish to, feel free. It'll make me feel happy.
Tara suggested I put on a guest book, to see who comes. I can already see who does. Tara (my baby), Brad (my other baby), Steve (my disgruntled baby), Sean (my world dominating friend), Chris (my blogging buddy), and maybe a few more....like Suzanne and maybe Cheryl. Should I let Eric know about this? I think I will. He keeps asking me to to find pictures of Janet Jackson's gland. He's dirty!
Oh, hopefully, guestbook will be up soon.
OH yeah, I think Jasse reads this. He's not really into things like this, but I hope he reads this.
And Jasse...Maybe a website for my birthday!!!

Ah, watching movies. All about Lance Aux Meadows...the first Viking exploration. I like this because it is proof that ol' Chris Columbus was not the first who 'discovered' the West. Also, I'm pretty againt ol' Columbus.
It's neat to hear and read about Bjarne and Leif.
Man, when it's busy, it's busy.

"Are you blogging now?", is what Tara asked in a strange tone.
"Um, right now? No. Soon, yeah" I replied.
So, today...not bad. A bit crazy. I stayed after work to get my desk cleaned up. Man, it's amazing how a few days of slack, and it's brutal to sort through your stuff. I can actually bury myself in the amount of stuff that is on my desk.
Nothing really new to report now. Just relaxin. I have to say that I'm hooked to Train 48. Brad Mike used to work for this show as a P.A (Production assistant), but now he's getting primed to go to New Zealand for adventure and experience. He leaves on Feb. 13, which is getting close. I hope he can spare about an hour or so for a drink with me.
Oh, Soy milk is good, but not in coffee. Cereal, yes.

Well, because of the weather, I'm inside for my break. Not really saying on a public venue..
and the drama queens are in a full swing...which is kinda nice. more later.

I just got the Counter working.
I was talking to Tara, and she again was making fun of this blog. What do I have to say about that?
"We're turning our kids into pussies".
Tara said this after finding out how bureaucratic our work is, and how afraid our employer is about some things. Again, just funny.

This Blogging thing....eek.
What's funny, is that the whole Janet Jackson thing...I couldn't believe the conversation by the 'ahem'...watercooler. I have a few friends who want the pics of ol' Janet in her uni-mammary glory.
Again, I take my hat off to JT (Justin Timberlake). Not only did he tear off Janet's little bra, later during the Super Bowl, he was caught making out with Cameron Diaz. He's had Britney, Christina, and a few others. Man....Who's the man? JT.
Oh, I'm having some difficulty trying to archive my past blogs. They're somewhere in cyberspace, but not really accessible to the public. I'll have to enlist the skills of Chris Talbot to help me.
Also, let's see if I can add a counter to this page.
What else? Tara has asked me about this page, and who reads it?
You do...and that's all that matters.
P.S: I'm glad Chris noticed my link on the left....The Straight Dope. It's a fantastic site, with a million questions that you would always like to know the answer to. My favorite one lately is "What's the Scroll lock button for?"
I've just realized how to add links to this blog. Watch out!

I'll keep this short. I don't have much time, but I'm at work, and I'm in a bit of a mood. I don't know why, but it's not really a nice feeling.
Because of my line of work, (which I would rather not say, if you don't know me) being in a bad mood is not a good thing, as I actually can take out my frustrations. Whether or not it is in good ways, is debatable.
Other than that, things are good. (I think).
I can hear the natives...and they're getting restless. Let us begin..
"Friends, Romans, Country-men, please raise your hands!"

So, Patriots won. I'm not a huge NFL fan, but I like watching the big games. I was hoping for the Panthers, but alas...they didn't. 'Twas a good game. 'nuff said.
I got home at about 5:00. Well, I got into Pickering about 4:00, but Brad and I went to Steve's house to drop off skates and some lamps for his brother. We chatted a while, and then I took brad to see his parents. Brad's dad offered to drop him home, so I went home.
I got home, and it was nice. I had some food, took a nice hot shower, and had a nap. When I got up, SuperBowl was starting, and my parents and I watched. My mom got tired, and went to bed...and my dad and I watched most of it.
Again, I was not happy with the first quarter, but it picked up. I liked the half-time show, but I was shocked that at the end of the JT (Justin Timberlake) set, he tore off a bit of Janet Jackson's shirt, and you saw a glimse of her breast. I'm not sure if that was planned, as it was very fast, and I can't see CBS allowing such a show. Oh well, the music was good, and it was neat seeing P-Diddy do his thang with Nelly. Enjoyed by all.
During the game, a friend I work with called. Her name is Cheryl and she's pretty cool. She gets worried about stuff, but hey, that's her nature. She wanted to know some stuff about work, so we talked, and it was nice. I was watching the game whilst talking. What's even funnier is that I sound like I watch football all the time, as I knew some good jargon to say.
Again, after the game , I talked to Tara for a bit. I feel bad, as I don't get much chance to talk to her, but when we do, I enjoy it. Also, when we call each other, we're pretty much burnt out from the day, so sometimes we don't get to actually talk.
Not really much going on. Drive home was nice...uneventful, but I'm glad after the drive up to Ottawa....that's pretty much what I wanna say.
And if Steve's reading this....Thanks again for the weekend.
If Sean's reading this....next time I come to Ottawa, i wanna crash at your place.
If Chris is reading this....wow....it's addictive...isn't it?
If Tara's reading this...It's pretty boring, isn't it?

Sunday morning, and I'm no worse for wear. After numerous Labatt's 50s, Sleeman Steams, and a couple of glasses of wine, I'm feeling pretty good.
So, the burning question? Did we use the mustaches. Hell, yes. Before we ventured out to Steve and Vicki's friend's house, Steve, Brad and I put on our mustaches, and armed ourselves with spirit gum to do any touch-ups. What's even funnier, is that with these mustaches, we took the bus to this party. Imagine, you're on your way somewhere, and 3 guys with really bad porn-mustaches come on the bus, all carrying cases of beer. A few stares, and quite a few chuckles. Ottawanians (...is that the term?!?) were quite polite, and kept comments to themselves.
At the party, many of Steve and Vicki's friends remembered us, but were taken aback with the mustaches. Some of them didn't want to talk to us. It was funny, but somewhat alienating. I guess I would be a bit afraid of some strange people at a party, drinking 50 and wearing bad mustaches too....Actually..I wouldn't...
Anyway, party was very good. Steve and Vicki have very cool friends, and we had a good time. We stayed later than we expected, and all headed out to the bar (the lieutenant's Pump).
But before we went, the hosts of the party called "Blue-line Taxi Co." to come pick us up. As per usual at a parties, leaving involves many good-byes and even "where are we going to go? Let's go here...No let's go there". One taxi was waiting, and Steve and I asked him to wait a few more minutes. Even in our state of 'dis-array', we were very polite (Actually, we were!). The taxi driver, who was waiting started to yell at us, and threaten that he'll never come to his house. I informed him that I didn't live here, nor did I live in this city, so such a threat was moot, but that did not stop him. His quote..."I will call my dispatcher, and tell them about this house. Nobody will ever come to this house again. I have your address. Call, and wait, because nobody will come!" And then he sped off. Steve and I were not mad, but perplexed, as we didn't see this as a sound business practice. If I had a Cab company, black-listing a house that would and could offer a fare, I would just let the taxi-drivers know about the past history of certain addresses.
And so...we did end up going to the Pump, where we met Sean Wilson. It was cool, as it was like 11:30 at this point, and Sean said, "you gonna be there? I'll see you there." and came. That's friendship, or alcoholism....which are a fuzzy line.
after having a few more with Sean, Sean took brad and I to "Ottawa's Best Shwarma Joint". It was called "Mrouhh Int'l Shwarma". I know I spelled the name wrong, but it's under the Inferno Night-club. This place was amazing. Shwarma was amazing, and even the atmosphere...Very "soup-Nazi" from Seinfeld. They even had shirts that said "No Shwarma for you! One Year!". Just amazing.
after downing some shwarma, we headed home, and went to bed. so, that brings us to this morning, and I'm just getting ready to have breakfast. I hope to head out before 12:00, but we'll see. it shouldn't be bad, as the weather looks good.
"did I stutter?!?"
