'tis a far far better thing I do, than I have ever done before...
What the hell is that? Just a thought. I thought my iPod's battery had killed, as it wasn't charging. After checking out the Apple Support site, I did exactly what they said, and Voila! She's working again.
Today, nothing really exciting to report. I had lunch with Linda, which was nice. It was a nice way to actually spend lunch. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy the company of my colleagues, but a change is nice. Especially one like that.
I think I'm kickin' this cold, so I'm happy about that. Eating right and exercise seem to be the trick. Yeah, I know that doctors and Health people have been saying that for years, but nice to put in practice.
Anything exciting this week? Naw, not really. I'm just shocked at Sean Wilson's news. Moving in?

Early Morning Post:
Just a quick note: My car is fine. Just in case many of you were wondering the state of my lil' beast, she's going to be fine.
And I'm just doing some work before I kick out to Jasse's for Angeli's birthday party.
And my throat is still sore.
Can I complain some more?
I hate being sick.

Uncle Ram's Birthday, and the Rock.
So, today I went to Uncle Ram's Birthday Party. It was quite fun. It's nice to see family and hang out with cousins I haven't seen in a long time.
As well, Friday night, Linda and I went to see the Rock Play (toronto's Lacrosse Team). They were good, except for being beat by Rochester by 10 points (final score: 15-5). Ugh, Just disappointing. But the game was really fun. It's a rough sport, I tell you.
But other than that, I'm trying to get over a cold I've seemed to have picked up somewhere. I have my suspicions on where I got it, but I can't be 100% sure.
And on Sunday, I'm out to head to Angeli's birthday party. Hopefully it doesn't snow so it won't be postponed again.
Should be fun. Angeli is so cute.

Comments are up!
So, the race has begun. I've got 3 comments (well, only 2, since I wanted to be the first to comment and test).
I got the call from the mechanics. Yeah, there's a short in the wiring, and they're gonna look into it. Apparently I lost my Day-time running lights as well. Ugh, My lil' baby is going down. Hopefully she'll be back to full steam after today!
Tonight, Linda and I are going to see the Toronto Lacrosse Team play Rochester. It'll be pretty good. I kinda dig lacrosse since it's more hard-core than like Football, and it seems more dangerous than Hockey.

Cold and Dental.
So, I've added comments to my page. Let's see what comments there are?
Anyway, Friday, I'm heading to the Dentist for a 'filling'. It's not quite a filling as in a gap I have that I want filled. This gap is not a Cavity, but more of a tooth growing a bit off, leaving a small gap between to trap food.
Yeah, not really pretty.
What else? My Car's electrical system seems to be on the fritz. I turn on my Rear View Defogger, and the dash-board lights up like a Christmas tree. Not good.
Man, is it close to turning in my ol' Girl? I'm afraid. I'm really afraid.

To comment or not to comment, that is the question.
I've been asked to add the 'comment' section on my blog to have people comment. Generally, I'm afraid, as I like the anonimity of no comments.
Maybe I should grow a pair and add it.
I'll get to it tonight.
Oh, here's the requisite...

On Dawson's Creek
So, Here we are on a cold and blustery Monday. What has happened since the Snow-in?
Well, nothing that I said in my previous blog. On Saturday, I did go to the gym and buy clothes, but I have to return a pair of jeans to Roots because the zipper is broken. Yes, how more mundane can my life be?
Saturday night, I stayed in and watched the rest of Dawson's Creek Season 1. Man, what a great show.
Sunday morning, I was planning on going to the gym in the afternoon, and then doing some work, and then going to see Chris, Jay, Rich and Logan for a drink. Well, my lil' car didn't start because of the weather, so I thought my battery was dead. Luckily my neighbor whose really friendly came and helped out. He helped me get a new battery and install it.
After which, we checked the Alternator, and found it was not putting enough power back into the battery. Crap.
My car was o.k, but only for short distances. Crap. I was grounded.
Luckily, Linda was shopping in Pickering, and dropped by. She hung out, and we watched Dawson's Creek, Family Guy, and then the news.
I took Linda home, and hooked up with the boyz for a drink and some good ol' socializing, so that was quite fun. Unfortunately Logan couldn't make it as his Furnace was on the blitz, and he had to wait for a repair guy.
Which brings us to Monday. I had to go to a Workshop with some colleagues, which was o.k. Scott picked me up at school, and we kicked down to the Harbourfront Centre for some Workshopin'. 3 other colleagues came as well, so it was quite entertaining.
Day went o.k. I got my car back (Alternator was fine, only the battery connection was wonky, and the Car-computer didn't like it) and went to the gym.
Linda made some Banana Bread, which she's promised to save some. Again, in my family, it was called Banana cake. But hey, who's to question?
Moral of the day? Don't count your bananas before their peeled.

Snowed in...
No Waterloo trip to see Angeli. The snow, which we saw on Friday night has hit Pickering with a vengence, and basically it would be very bad to head to Waterloo.
I'm home, and just chilling. I'm going to hit the gym this afternoon, which will be nice.
And I bought some new clothes, so at least I did something productive.

Tripp Time w/ Steve
I got an email from Steve, and he's coming into Pickering with his wife. It'll be nice to chill with with them post-wedding.
Tripp and I talked about the wedding after, but to hear now a few weeks after with Steve will be interesting.
And it's really really cold. There's supposed to be a huge storm coming into Southern Ontario, depending how bad it is, I may not go to Waterloo for Angeli's birthday.
It's a Wait-and-see event.

I think I was just tired...
So, I think I'm over my 'winter blues' scare. I feel pretty good today. Which is always nice.
Maybe it was just a lapse in something. Maybe it was because there is no light, or very little sunlight, and that has an effect.
Today, I'm feeling great. Unmotivated, as it's Friday, but I'm basically trying to fill the day until I can kick home, and go see Tripp.
This weekend is Angeli's 2nd Birthday, in which Jasse's having a party. Will there be any more interesting pics? Who knows?

Early Winter Blues?
Man, I don't feel like doing anything at all. At this point, I'm pretty apathetic about work, and stuff.
Not that I don't want to, I just am feeling a bit sluggish.
Is it my late nights? Could be. Is it the weather? Could be.
What's the worst part, things are going pretty good right now, to be honest. I have no real complaints, and I'm quite enjoying how life is unfolding.
Maybe another post today? I'll try.
And it seems that the ol' UnkyMoods site is offline, so I'll have to find another 'mood-indicator' thing.

I'm still alive. Just busy.
So, It's been almost a week since my last post. I'm not ignoring my blogging requirements, but sometimes, I get home late, and I'm just too tired to blog.
So, what's been up since I last reported?
Just Desserts is not White Sands Cafe. Not Just Desserts, but as close to it as it can be with new owners. Chris and I went to the official opening. It'll be a different feel, but good nevertheless.
Friday night, I went out with Chris and Rich. We shared a few drinks and stories about life and the universe, and now Chris carries his camera everywhere he goes now. I don't know if he's keeping to it, but it's not a bad idea.
Sunday was a nice relaxing time, and the Monday was a day of putting out fires.
For some reason, I seemed to successfully do it.
Everything's coming up Rawlio!

Knee surgeries, Freezing Rain, and Crappy windshield Wipers
So, today I took Alex to the hospital to get his knee surgery. I had to get him from Colbourne Tuesday night, as his operation was in Toronto Western Hospital. Let's make a long story short, and say that everything went well. Currently, Alex is at home, sleeping and recovering from his ordeal, and so hopefully he'll pop his knee out again.
Freezing Rain: Apparently it came, and worked its way East, and with all my Journeys (Pickering-Colbourne-Toronto-Coborg-Colbourne-Pickering), I missed it completely. However, I did manage to drive through the rain the entire day. Ugh. I saw the remains of freezing rain at Alex's place as we skidded into his house (by foot, not by car!) but that was it.
Crappy Windshield Wipers: Yeah, mine suck. Big time. I will follow the hype of those beloved Canadian tire Commercials, and go purchase a set. Apparently you're supposed to change your blades twice a year. I do, and I've gotten like 3 months of good use out of a set, and then it's 3 months of crap until I drop another $40 on a new pair.
What else? For some reason, I feel like I was away for like 3 days. In fact, I was gone for like 13 hours. Hmmmmm, interesting.
Any piece of interesting advice or happenstance today? Naw, not really.
Oh Sean, I'm posting... For real. And how did Thai Food win? I kept voting for Indian food! Last week was sketchy, but I'm o.k this week. Damn you....
You have holes in your posts too, my Bloggy friend! :)

Ah, the Tuesday Morning Prank.
so, This morning, I found 'vaseline' on my doorknob. Hmm...
Again, it's from a colleague that played a prank on my partner and I, and we moved her desk into the Staff Kitchen.
Her come-back? Greased Doorknob. C'mon. First Year Rez pranks? Amateur at best. I'm a bit disappointed and insulted. Some thought would have been nice.
What else? Talking late on the phone last night, I'm a bit tired. But it's all part of the fun.
And tomorrow, Alex gets a new knee. More for that. Stay tuned!

Of Mice and Men...and Monday blues
Well, not really but it's sometimes pretty bad. Surpisingly, it's been a good day, and not a bad morning. At work, so far so good. It's been pretty relaxing and such.
I think humour is coming back in the office, which is nice. I was blamed for a prank by someone else, which is a good thing (inclusion), however I was a bit upset as to the quality of the prank.
I informed the victim that I would have done the prank on a much larger scale, and what had happened to her was the work of a Scaredy-Cat Amature. Once that was determined, the prankster was discovered.
Ah, maybe back to normal?
Oh weekend: good. Friday was with Brad, Ben and Ady. We debated about the Greatest Canadian, and it's merits, and enjoyed the night.
Saturday, went to see my Aunt in Waterloo. I'm spending a lot of time in Waterloo. I'm considering it to be a place I may want to consider.
Sunday, went to the gym, watched Dawson's Creek, and went to Chris'.
Nice and relaxing...

Kickin' down at omlettville....
Well, not really, but I'm gonna be headin' down to Tripp's tonight for some relaxing chat. Apparently Ady and Ben are gonna make it, which will be nice.
What else? A colleague and I have been stealing away at lunch and watching Corner Gas, Season 1. Man, is that funny. Just some strange and twisted humour.
But the weather outside is frightful, Not really delightful...and some other jazz.

Stealing some time...
I'm at work. Just a second to blog...
Supposedly a huge storm's comin' in. No sign of it yet. It's nice and sunny.
Kickin' to the Gym tonight. Alex's program is hard-core. I'm still sore. I'm afraid of what tonight will do to me.
What is the phrase? No Pain, no Gain? Ugh.

Where did you go, Monday?
So, Monday was back to the Grind. It was nice, as seeing co-workers again was nice. Things are getting back to normal, which is good, and could be bad.
I was on email with Jasse today, and the idea of the next holiday. I'm lucky to have a job where I get stat holidays (for the most part....damn you Jan 3rd!) and I get March Break. So, my next vacation is March break. For the rest of the world who are not as fortunate, their next holiday is Easter.
I propose that we in Canada have a holiday in February to offset the long stretch from New Year's Day to Easter. The Americans have Martin Luther King Day. Other countries have some other fun stuff. What's wrong with us in Canada?
So, Tuesday, Tuesday Tuesday. Tonight, World Junior Men's hockey game, Canada vs. Russia. Go Team Canada!

Happy New Year, and Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Little!
Yowser! A couple of Days? What's up with the Rawlio? Let's start with Wednesday:
Wednesday:
I picked up the Mini-Van finally (Again, Enterprise rent-A-Car Sucks) and did all what I had to do. I got Tripp, and the Andrew, and we were off up to Southampton. It's funny, as the drive is really long when you go from Pickering-Downtown Toronto-Mississauga then up to Southampton. Ugh, it felt like we were on the road forever
Finally, we arrived about 4:45, found our Bed & Breakfast (It was a 1700 sq.ft. 3 bedroom Lodge!) and then bolstered off to the Church for the rehearsal. Things went well, and it was nice to meet the family of the bride and groom.
For some Reason, Brad, Andrew and I were already targeted as the bad ones, and we had multiple parents come up to us and warn us about tonight (don't get Steve sick, of my child!!!) and about the wedding (don't get my child sick, or drunk!!!) which we were a bit put off by. Nevertheless, things went good.
After the rehearsal, we went to the rehearsal dinner, and had some food and drink. There were speeches and presents, and other things which was quite fun, so that was good.
Thursday :
We woke up, and Steve was good. Nobody was hurting and things were good. We realized that the Rental shirts had no buttons or cuffs, so we had to buy safety pins and pin ourselves together. But more on that later...
We met Steve at the Cottage he was staying at, and then we went to find breakfast. After breakfast, we stopped by the restaurant that was holding the reception later that night. Because Vicki and Steve's family were there helping, he wanted us to help. In true Rawl fashion, I slinked off to the side, and watched while people were busy doing what they had to do. Brad and Andrew were put to work quickly, as was another friend who I haven't mentioned yet, Kirk. Again, I stayed in the corner and tinkered on the piano with some of Steve's cousins, and then came around when they were all done.
Later, we got some food, went back and changed. We arrived at the church, and chilled until the actual ceremony. The ceremony was good and I think many were touched by the service.
After, we all headed over to get pictures done, and then others went to the Reception to have some drinks.
To sum up this part, food, slide show, drinks, dance...home. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I had a fantastic time. Vicki and Steve's family and friends were a great bunch, and I think I they enjoyed the likes of Brad, Andrew and myself.
Friday
Since the rental van had to be back by 4:00pm, we left early to head home. The drive was uneventful up until the major fog where you couldn't see more than 8m in front of the van.
I got home, met Alex, and then headed up to Waterloo to spend New years' with Jasse. We had a few drinks, watched "Old School", and then I passed out shortly after 12:30am.
Saturday
Alex and I got home about 1:00pm, he hung out with me for a bit, and then left. I then called Chris, and went over to his place for a drink, and to catch up after the holidays.
Sunday
Woke up, did some work, went to the gym (Alex set me up with a new hardcore programme!!!) and then here I am....
Ah, things are back to normal. Next holiday? March break... I'm not going to enjoy that.
But I foresee an Ottawa trip sometime in Late January/Early February.
