Sunday Holiday...

Again, just waking up, having a coffee at Sean's. Linda's on the phone with her mom, and just trying to wake up. Today, we're going to go to the Ottawa beach, and hit the Bayshore Mall.

As well, tonight is Sean and Krissy's House-warming / Birthday party. We're getting stuff much to the chagrin of sean, but that's how birthdays go, isn't it?

And Steve: Yes, I'll call you on Monday when I return. Don't fear, all will be well.

Chirs: How's Connecticut?

Roger: Is it still warm?

Scott : if you do read this, maybe a drink this week?

Jasse: Good luck This week.

Rich: are you camping?

Everyone Else: Happy Civic Holiday!!!

Bloggin' on the couch...

Now I understand when Sean blogged from his couch. By far, this will be the most comfortable blog in a while. I'm still lookin' to buy a wireless card for my lil' iBook, but that will be later.

Linda is chillin', watching me blog. Sean's got a cool wireless keyboard hooked up to his crazy entertainment system, doing it on the TV. Just insane.

Well, it's breakfast time, and we're gonna go eat. Bloggin' from Ottawa, in style
Roger: I'm glad you're havin' fun. you're in the south and I'm in the great north.

Bloggin' on the Road!!! Orangeville Style.

I'm in Orangeville, at an Internet Cafe. Now, being in Internet cafe's in taiwan, this one doesn't really quite hold it for me. The Pimply faced guy seems who logged me in seems o.k, but this computer has a weird kinda peachy/yellowy look on the screen. Not from any excretions, but from an over-use of service.

So, what's it like? I'm at the Albion Hills Conservation Park. It's not bad, but a bit Trailer-Trash. Conversations at night are interesting, as we can hear mothers screamin' at their kids, and the kids screaming back. And they're about 200 m away from our site.

Tuesday, I went to Waterloo to visit Jasse at work. He's got some nice co-workers, but I met his 'office-buddy', kinda. A really creepy sales guy, who just drips of creepiness. Oh well, Apparently this guy sells quite a bit, but as Jasse puts it: "Right place at the right time". Good for him, but it's not a place I would like to be.

Also, being kinda camping, we're really car camping. I brought the lil' iBook so Linda and I can watch DVD's at night, and I could possibly learn some FLASH stuff, but it's been kinda busy. Maybe tomorrow.

And as usual, Jasse comes through again, as he finished "Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince", and has passed it over. REading Chris' blog, it's piqued my interestin. Chris' mom and brother were slightly dissapointed, and JAsse never really gave me a review....

No news is good news, maybe...

But alas, I have a time restriction on this computer, and I must head. Maybe more tonight at Jasse's.

Campin' on!

p.s: Please ignore the spelling mistakes. The spell check on this public terminal is not working.

Back from Camping, out again for camping...

So, I went out to Georgian Bay with Linda on the weekend. I just got back this morning, and now I'm back out to Orangeville area to camp.

Yeah, not much to say, as I have to run. But I'll do my best to find an internet cafe out in that neck of the woods.

I should be visiting Jasse on Wed, so I'll bother him for his connection, and do a blog. I'm sure he won't mind.

Enjoy your week, everyone.

Steve: I'll give you a call next week.

Sean: can you call my cell, with Directions or your new number? I don't have your new contact info. And yeah, we're still coming on Friday night. But I'll call.

Headin' out Camping

So, Saturday begins what looks to be a week or so of camping. Linda and I are going to head up to Victoria Harbour to see my Parent's land, just for fun. Afterwards, we're going to go camping. Where? As of posting, I'm not entirely sure. Awenda Provincial Park is a bit crowded (read : no sites available), so I am looking at Craigleith Provincial Park. They have a few sites available. However, over in Sauble Beach, there are a few as well. I want to talk to Linda before booking a site. Linda's got a friend in Southampton, so maybe we can kill 2 birds with one stone. She wanted to see this friend for awhile, and since we're in that area, we could go.

Now, here's the interesting part. Linda will read this, and so will her friends. I'm going to try to call this: Linda likes to 'plant' ideas in my head instead of asking or suggesting. I wonder if she planted this idea in my head to see if I can make it work....

Again, I say no, but I like to accommodate. But maybe she did, to see if I can work my magic and make it happen. Who knows?

What else? Day 2 (or 3) of Lasik. My vision has gone down a bit, but that's to be expected. In the next 6 weeks, I'll notice small fluctuations because of the healing. It's not that I can't drive or read, but I've noticed a bit of a regression.

Well, I've got an appointment on Monday to see how things are going. I feel that they are progressing well. But we'll see about that.

And I'll be in Orangeville. I hope that I can plug in somewhere in the town to blog, and such.

we'll see.

So, Sans Glasses?

I got the ok. to drive, so I went out for lunch with Chris. I was going to go sunglass shopping, but much to the chagrin of Linda, I held off.

What else? Just a double post for this Thursday. I'm just takin' care of my eyes (one drop each eye, every hour....) since I have inflammation on my cornea. I have a lot of White Blood cells, which is always a good thing.

I am about 100 pages out of Harry Potter's Order of the Phoenix. So, Jasse's just reported that he should be done by early next week. [tapping fingers together] Excellent!

And I need a new 'logo'. This one is outdated. And I borrowed some books on Flash Animation, so maybe in Orangeville, I can figure it out. I should still look for a wireless card ....

Lasik complete...

So, I'm here, typing without the aid of glasses. I have the funky super chunky dark glasses that I need to wear for a week to protect my eyes from sun and bright and dust and stuff, but it's not bad.

I don't think I can be on the computer for much long in the next few days, since the strain on the eyes is a bit much after the sugary.

But just a quick Blog to give my shout-outs.

Jasse: go for it. it's worth it!
Brad: How's things? maybe this weekend?
Campbell: So, one month, no dive, but I can make the Chippawa!
Roger: I got your email: From hot weather to hot weather? you're nuts!
Ben: How's the Americans? We need info! :)
Sean: I'll be dropping you an email...maybe your place, Civic Holiday?
Chris: Whaaaaaaassssssuuppppp!

and Me I'm Mr. Dressup!

Under the Laser?

So, on Wednesday, at 8:20, I have to be at the Lasik Eye office, to get my eyes burnt for some surgery. I was talking to Sarah McCullough (I think that's how you spell her name...), who's Linda's friend. She had it done, and told me about the procedure. She said it was painless, and that it's amazing. She said it'll be blurry for a few hours, and not to worry, as vision will get better as time goes on.

I'm excited. And Linda will come by tomorrow evening to see me, which will be cool.

What else? Just recovery for Wednesday and Thursday. Apparently I won't be able to go online after the surgery as I won't be able to read small things or watch TV and stuff for a few days after. Oh well..

Hopefully the next post will be 'sans glasses'...

And I'm 3/5 done Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix. No, it's not the new one, but the one before. I'm trying to finish it before I get the new book...Hopefully from Jasse next week :)

Another day.

So, some exciting things may happen in the next few days. I may be going in for my lasik Eye surgery. I called to see if they had some openings, and the person said on Wednesday. So, we'll see what's up.

And what else? Nothing really. I just got back from a pint with Chris and Rich. 'Twas fun. It's nice to see Rich, as I don't see him very often. He's always got a story, and he's always going somewhere cool. I've gotta catch up to him. He's been to some really neat historical places, and abandoned towns. Hmm.. I have to see if I can convince Linda to go.

East - 250KM, Down 80 Feet. Reverse.

Yeah, I went to Kingston, and dropped to the deepest I've ever been. I went a cool 84' under the surface of the water.

i saw a few cool wrecks, had a fun adventure. To keep you in suspense, the boat taking us back from the last dive almost caught on fire, and we had to make an emergency docking. Nobody got hurt, nor did any equipment suffer any loss. Just a lil' diving boat with an overheated Exhaust manifold.

But it's late, I'm tired, and I maybe painting the window sills this week.

More tomorrow.

Just a taste.

Busy, but it's the holidays?!?

Yeah, I've got no real good excuse. Well, I can always come up with one, but we'll see about this one.

I've been working a contract job, and then kickin' out with Linda on evenings, and just relaxing. I get home, and I'm trying to finish Harry Potter - Order of the Phoenix before the next book comes out. I've been trying and trying, but I've been bamboozled at every turn.

I was emailing Chris about this....which I would like to apologize publicly to him about not being around these past two weeks. Chris, I promise I'll keep bothering you come Monday. These past two weeks have been pretty hectic.

I've realized that I've hardly been home these past few weeks. I had Dragon Boat one weekend, then it was Canada Day up in Prescott, and then Linda's cottage, and then again, Linda's cottage. This weekend is back to Kingston for a boat dive, and then I'm o.k to relax on Monday.

I will try to be more 'around' come next week. It's been busy, but I should be able to do stuff.

BUt, to make things more interesting, I might be up in Orangeville for a few days here and there, just to chill. Linda's working up there, and I may camp for a few days while she's working and so she can come and join me after work.

That'll be kinda cool. I know it's not really campy, but I would love to take my lil' iBook and Blog up there. I should be able to plug in somewhere, if not, find a wireless place. Maybe that'll be incentive to buy a wireless card for this baby...Hmmmm...

Holy Delay, Batman!

So, where have I been?

According to my last blog, I was at Linda's Cottage, and then that's really it.

Friday night, I left my contract job, and went to Linda's cottage. From Mississagua to Lake Kashabog, it took a bit of time, but I was there, and quite happy.

Friday night was spent with her friends partaking in libations, singing, and other interesting things. I learned a few games, which are quite neat.

Saturday was a general lounge day, with some swimming and Jet-skiing.

Sunday, was about the same, and we left in the late evening.

Linda's brother had some friends up, which did provide with some entertainment. One gentleman in particular was named 'Mooney'. He was a bit of an odd fellow who always had a story about something. To best describe Mooney, imagine "Ol' Gill " from the Simpsons. He reminded me of that guy.

What else? I spent the night at linda's on Sunday night. Monday evening I picked up Linda and we test drove some vehicles. I'm going to keep the car a secret until I purchase it, as It's been quite the 'I'm going to buy this...I'm looking into that...' kinda deal.

Tonight, was more checking cars out.

And boy, it's hot.

sorry, nothing really new to report, or any insightful things. However, I did meet Bernard Herndyn. He's a writer for a bunch of West Indian Papers, as well as for the Star. Interesting fellow.

Getting ready for the weekend.

So, I got home and went to the bank to take care of some financing. Yeah. This will be the month that I do say farewell to my lil' cavalier.

I have an idea for what it will be replaced with, so sit tight. I'll let you know when I do purchase it.

I'm not going to say what, as I've been painfully announcing empty promises and such for a while now. I promise :)

But, my dad was telling me that GM and maybe Ford or Chrysler is doing some crazy incentive programme, in terms of giving all customers an employee discount to aid in the car slump. Now, this may change my plans on which car I want to purchase.

Dame incentive programmes!

And I'm getting ready to go to Linda's cottage tomorrow. I've done my preparing (No Sam, not cooking, but preparing other things...), and my car is 80% packed. I'll be up earlier in the morning to get the remainder in, and my cooler packed and such. I'll buy ice en route to work, so I can kick out A.S.A.F.P. ( As soon as freakin' Possible), which from Mississagua, will be like 5:00pm. Hello, Rush hour.

More on stuff later.

Oh, If you get a chance, have a moment of silence for those lost in the London Underground bombing today. Man, that really sucks. Our world is slowly going to hell in a handbasket.

Can I make a cool web-page?

Today has been pretty relaxed. I was doing a job out on the west end of Toronto, and because of traffic, it took me about 1 1/2 hours to get home. In the morning, it's a 1/2 hour drive.

Brutal.

I talked to Trippy tonight. He's in Banff right now with JiHye. Aparently they've proclaimed a JiHad in every city west of Toronto, which is good. (JiHad is the combination of Brad + JiHye, for those who are curious).

And Linda's still in Haliburton, doing her forestry thing. This weekend, I'm going up to see her, so I'm pretty excited to chill at her cottage again. I've got to make some food and stuff for the trip, so my Thursday will be in the kitchen preparing. Should be fun.

I wish I had more to say, but for now, nuthin.

I'm going to try to make a 'spinnin' head for my website. My goal is to try to make a personalized fancy website for my site, and not use the Blogger Template. Can I do it?

I've got a preliminary page done already, but we'll see what happens. I'm not sure if I want to have a spinning head on my site, as it might slow the downloading thing down.

We'll see.

Back from the Weekend.

So, Prescott Family weekend was successful. The weather was fantastic, except for the 20 minute downpour that almost took our tent away.

Steve and I dove 3 times, and it was fantastic. I tried out my new equipment, (a compass, underwater slate, light) and they worked amazingly. I even got us back exactly to where we had to be with the navigation settings I'm trying out. Yeah, for me.

Steve and I only stayed until Saturday afternoon, where we took off to go to our respective locations: Me to Linda's cottage, and him to Jennifer's cottage. I dropped Steve off in Fowler's Corners, and then Hi-tailed to Linda's where it was a good time.

I introduced Linda to diving by having her come underwater with me on my 2nd Stage regulator, holding on to me. We descended about 10', and I let her look around and we snorkeled a bit for fun. I'm hoping that was enough to get her hooked. I know she really liked it, so maybe I've got a dive buddy with me now!!!

At her cottage was her friend Melissa her boyfriend Gerry. (Jerry?). It was neat just hanging out with them, but I did kinda bug out and stare at stars for a lot longer than one would have wanted.

It's just when you're up north, and the sky is perfectly clear, you can see 100x more stars than you can in the city. I admittedly take advantage of those times as to me they are important.

Sunday evening, we came back, and I got ready for Monday.

Today, nothing really new to report. Steve stayed an extra day with Jennifer at her cottage, and came by my place to pick up some of his stuff.

I have been placed under a publication ban on any activities or information regarding Jennifer.

'nuff said.

Ben Pickering: Thanks! Happy Canada day back at you, from the north. Scott is a good guy, but you knew that already. But dude, trust me; he's the Jedi master. This young Padawan still needs guidance.
