Weekend...
So, Friday night was spent with the boys at work, doing some drinking, and hanging out. It was fun, but there was a bit too much libations. It was not a good thing the next morning.
Saturday was spent with Linda, doing errands. Part of the those errands was to buy Dawson's Creek Season 4, and get a new phone.
My cell has been doing really poorly with reception and battery life. But then again, it is like 3 years old, with more than it's share of usage. It's been dropped, in the rain, snow, sleet, down in Florida, flew to Trinidad, all over Ontario and parts of the Northern states (new York, etc). The phone's been pretty much everywhere I've been.
My little Samsung has done it's tour of duty, especially being one of the first colour flip phones on the market. She's held up, and I thought it was time to trade her in for a new model.
My new phone is a Motorola. I've had a Motorola before, so I'm a bit excited about getting one again. My first cell was a Nokia, then I got a Motorola in Taiwan, then back to the Sanyo my Brother had for a while, and then I got the Samsung. Back to ol' Motorola. We'll see how it handles.
It's got the video camera option, which I don't really care for. I wanted a better phone, and this had what I wanted, with the camera. Oh well...I guess I got a camera now.
Do I really need a camera? If I can take pics, and send them here to my blog, sure. But if I can't...It's not really worth it. Apparently there's an 'online' photo album, but I have to figure out what's up with that.

What the Hoff?
Ok, few things on the internet actually make me laugh outloud, especially when I'm alone.
This is completly unreal. Apparently there's an interent trend with David Hasslehoff, putting his face on other pictures.
You gotta check this out...

I think it is just me...
Y'know, i seem to have this amazing ability. Those of you who know me, and have been around me long enough have seen that I have this innate ability to bring out the worst in people, and have them completely lose their cool on me.
It happened tonight, with an instructor that I'm taking a course with. She just flew off the handle with me tonight, from me doing no more than I usually do.
oh well...

Workin' for the man, every night and day...
Sure, back to the whole idea of the protestant work ethic diatribe I went off on about a year ago. You don't remember? That's ok, neither did I , really.
What's been going on? Still working on the Murder Mystery. Albeit many hours of work, and I'm cutting into my personal time, I'm really enjoying writing this thing. I do miss doing things like this, and still play with the idea of doing it on the side for fun.
Side projects are a lot of fun, aren't they? Many people take on side projects just for fun. Artists make other bands to have fun, Politicians help with side charities, and so on and so forth. Or...Maybe just your extra stuff is all side projects? Like if you were a construction worker, and on your time off, you helped children read, would that be a side project? Interesting...

Running Smooth...
Man, it's been really difficult this past little while to post. And especially something substantial.
What's been going on, you say? Just busy with a course I'm taking on Thursday nights, trying to get to the gym as much as I can, and seeing Linda when she's in Southern Ontario.
But this past weekend, Linda, Mark (linda's friend) and I went to see the Body Worlds Exhibit at the Ontario Science Centre. It was amazing. Creepy, but amazing. For those who don't know what this exhibit is, it's about the Human Body. A company has developed a technique to stop the decomposition of soft tissues and preserve it for show.
They strip off the skin and show the muscles, nerves and/or organs of the body, in different poses to show how the muscles interact. The only fake piece on the body is the eyes.
Caution: this is not for the faint of heart. It's hard not to look and think that these were real people at some point, and that they donated their body to science. According to the show, all the people asked to have their body donated, so ethically, I guess it's ok.
So yeah, that's my weekend.
this week: Wednesday night is a dinner with my Dragon Boat Team from September, Thursday is the Course, and Friday night might be a pub-crawl with the boyz from work.
Mon/Tues: not sure. I have to take my car in for an oil Change, and finish off the murder mystery for Lawrence, but I want to get to the gym. Alex sent me a new programme that I would like to start, but maybe not until tues.
Gah, just busy.

Rain, cold and stuff:
Not an excuse not to update, but hey...I'm gonna stick to this.
What have I been up to? Nothing really. I'm just hitting the gym, and then coming home. Chris and I got together last night to work on the Murder Mystery, but we realized that the work we needed to do was best done alone, as Chris had to type up the character sheets. As well, I have to format the invitations, and then import the character bios into them.
yeah, so we just chilled. I think we just needed some time to relax. It was nice to chill and talk. What's funny, is that we talk all day over email, but it's nice to have a conversation.
Which is what I do with Jasse. He's got a new Blackberry for his job, so he's always connected. I get emails or text messages from him all the time, and so I can talk to him no matter where he is at any time of the day, which is kinda cool.
Technology is pretty neat, huh? Well, Linda would argue against that. She's having some issues with technology. Again, not the answer to everything, but it's mostly fun when it works.
Kinda like my damn XML feed burner stuff: I'll contact you guys (Sean and Norm!) to help me with this thing...Soon.

Surprise on my Guestbook:
So, I was checking my guest book, and notice that nobody really posts...Until now...
Paul: Dude! email me. rawlchan@yahoo.ca
I would love you hear from you.
Everyone else: Thanksgiving was good. Linda was over for dinner. Jasse came with his family, and Alex was down chillin. All in all, a good weekend.
Sean: Sorry for not calling you back: we were doing stuff all night with family. Next time. And Yes, I'll need your help setting up the XML thing. I don't think I have it set up right yet...

Back in the R.O.C. ?!?
Well, not really. Last night, I met Brad and JiHye and some of her friends to celebrate her birthday. It was at a Korean Restaurant, and then at a Karaoke Bar downtown.
Now, the night was very reminiscent of nights Steve Little and I would have in Taiwan. Everything from drinking copious amounts of libations, and then ending up singing at a KTV. Just weird.
JiHye has some pretty cool friends. They were really nice, and it would be a blast to party with them again, minus the So-ju.
So, after that night, I spend most of Saturday morning in a horizontal state. I kept getting the spins, and I didn't eat anything until about 7:00 pm. Not a good feeling at all. I called Brad, and he was feeling the same as well, so I don't feel too bad.
But what was a good thing for today was that Linda came by, and we chilled all afternoon. It was nice to spend time with her, and just relax. She's been quite busy, especially coming home from North Bay, and trying to see people.
Which brings me to tonight: I went over and saw Alex and his family. It was cool to see his kids (Airica and Mason), and his wife Lisa. I wish Alex wasn't so far away, as he's one of those guys who is just fun to hang with.
And to the rest of you lot...Happy Thanksgiving.
And to the devoted Americans (Roger, for sure. Ben, sometimes...), Yeah, we do ours in October. And I hope you guys have a good weekend.
Roger: Great CD. I checked it out a few days ago, but didn't email you. And my mom says Tombol is doing better!

Almost Thanksgiving!
The day before the day before long weekend. Well, by the time most people read this, it'll be the day before the long weekend. And Thank God for that!
Why? No real reason. It's Jasse's birthday coming up, and I get to see Angeli and Beth, so I'm excited about that.
Linda comes home too, So I'm happy about that as well. I'm planning on meeting Brad and everybody for JiHye's birthday, so that's tomorrow night.
Oh, how did my 'day off from working out' go? Y'know what? I felt a lot better. I think my body was telling me that I need to take a day off. I maybe someone who can only do 2 days in a row. Some people can go more, but I think with my schedule and things, I'm a 2 days on, 1-2 days off.
So, Sean found the Spinning Rawlio head. Good!
Did anyone else? :)

Yeah, yeah, yeah....
Ok, I got back on Sunday night, and relaxed. Where have I been?
Basically at the gym. I'm taking the night off, which I shouldn't really, as I'm not going to be able to go until Saturday now...
Why? Thursday is the night I take my course, and the Friday night is just Friday night.
Friday, I'm going to meet Brad and JiHye somewhere downtown for her birthday. And then Saturday, Linda's back, so hopefully I can make it to the gym Saturday morning.
I should have really gone, but feeling tired, I think it's best I rest.
What's been up? Nothing really. Sunday's drive home was nice. The leaves are changing, so coming home from North Bay was nice.
Linda's got some nice friends there, and North bay is a pretty interesting town.
Not really much else to say, as of yet.
Things at work are going well. I'm really enjoying things this year. And it seems that the Pied Piper is on Vacation, so nobody's needing to be paid.

In North Bay...
I'm in the Nipissing Computer lab, checking some email.
North bay is really neat. Linda and I went to see a show last night, and the bands were pretty interesting. The opening band was a band that sounded like the Smiths, which was neat. Again, being a Morrisey Fan, I liked it. Linda, who hates Brit-pop didn't so much.
Today (Sat), we wandered around Downtown, went around North bay, and then hit a few trails behind the school. It's such a gorgeous time right now, and wandering these trails was incredible. All the leaves are changing, and the smell of the forest is amazing.
And I'm back in the city tomorrow. Will I adapt well? I should...
