Post Christmas

So...

Things are quiet around the Chan household. I went to Waterloo to see Jasse and the family, which was fun. As Jasse put it, to Angeli, "You're bigger than Santa". Now, that's a phrase to mean that I'm more popular than the jolly old dude, not in girth...

What else? Just relaxing. I got a nice sweater and a game, and Linda made me a really amazing Quilt. Who knew she could be domestic? It's just incredible.

Then, Linda and I went to the Zoo with her friend's sisters child and we walked around and saw the animals. I uploaded a the tiger, which was cool. Also, there should be coming soon, a pic with me and a camel.

We saw elephants, and all sorts of animals. It was cold, but just neat. I forgot how much fun the zoo could be.

Then we braved the mall, and went to see some Boxing day sales. Y'know, it's not as nice as before. A few years back, Steve Campbell and I got some really good deals. Maybe it's not as super as before.

And today is Steve Little's Birthday. Happy birthday, Mr. Little.

Not dead, I promise...

Yikes! I didn't realize it's been over a week since my past post. I've been quite busy, since it is the time to be jolly. But I'm now thinking that Jolly means "busy".

That's fine. It'll be a bit less hectic this week. What's really on the agenda? I'm helping an old colleague on wed. He's doing a Christmas Program, and I'm going to be the session musician for him. He needs a guitarist that makes him sound good. I'm down with that. It's been a while that I've played for the public in a show. I'll be happy.

What else? Linda is home now, so I've been busy with her. We were together for the whole weekend, so that was nice. Jasse and family came over this weekend so I had a blast playing with Lil' Angeli and Beth.

Last week, what are my comments?

Oh yeah...I know..

As per usual, I seem never to be left alone. Something always comes up. Usually through no fault of my own, or so it seems. At work, there's some people gunning after me, for something that I have the right to do.

There was meeting about an 'incident'. I say 'incident' as it was a 12-second occurrence, and this person's trying to hang me out to dry.

It's quite amazing that this person and her husband have seen too many Lawyer shows, and have tried to put words in my mouth, and skirt around issues. Just amazing.

But I think I'll be fine. I'm in no real danger, it's just that this issue is taking up a lot of time, and energy.

'tis the season, isn't it?

Is it official?

So, I was looking at the Toronto Star, and I came across Jen and Steve's engagement notice.

Good for them.

Here they are...

Congratulations.

But in the Star, it said the wedding is going to be in Early Spring. wouldn't March 11 be Late Winter ? :)

Crash! Boom...Bend....

So, I didn't end up going to North Bay. On my way to the highway, I was on a curved road. My car decided not to curve with the road, and I hit a curb.

I jumped out to check for damages, but it was only a cracked Wheel cover. I figure it'll be ok, and I got on the road. Crap...

Steering wheel was shaking. I decided to head to the mechanic, and see what's up, and find out what the damage was. Fortunatly, it's only a bent rim. Unfortunatly, by the time I found out, it was too late to kick to North bay.

Crap. I wanted to go see Linda.

At work...

So, I'm working a bit late tonight.

It's ok. I get to kick at 12:00pm tomorrow, and go see Linda in North Bay. I'm excited about that.

It's getting cold.

And I'm at work.

Ugh, and Andrew, nope...Didn't get a chance to start Christmas shopping. I told Linda that I have to get some done this weekend. Let's hope that happens. Even if I can get like 5 people done, I'll be happy.

I can't believe it's a week already?!?

Yeah, seriously. I've been trying to stay on email/on-line all week, but things at work make it almost impossible for me to do it. I'm not dissin' the blog, nor am I ignoring people, I just haven't had a chance to email back.

Chris: I've had a good week. I'll try to drop a line tomorrow (wed). Would you be up for a drink? Campbell's apparently free.

So, what have I been up to? Relatively nothing. I've been doing some work, talking to Linda, and just kinda nuthin' really.

On the weekend was a party at a colleague's house. It was good. He had his friends from all over come, and so it was neat to chill/interact with a different group.

Friday, I spent with Linda, which was nice. We actually didn't do anything, which was different.

And this week, I'll be busy for sure on Thursday night, and who knows about Friday. A few plans on the go, but I'll finalize tomorrow.
