Blue Monday...

Ok, not really blue monday, but just a chill, meloncholy monday.

But it's really a Tuesday. Go figure.

How was the weekend ? I went to a friend's cottage up near Midland. It was a nice cottage, but I have to admit, there was a bit too much libations consumed, and so Saturday was rough.

Sunday was a good day. The day was beautiful and I got a lot done. I had to clean the house, take care of the regular chores that one performs, and just relax. I have to say it was a grand day. In the evening, I went to Chris' for a game of Ironclaw.

Logan ran this game. The best way to understand this game is to think of Disney's Robin Hood. The characters are Humanoid animals in a Medieval style society. Logan did a great job, considering all the noise we were all making.

Monday was ok, and that brings me to today.

Linda finished her exams this afternoon. She then left North bay to come and see me. She's pretty excited that she's done, but I don't think it's hit her quite yet. It does take quite a while to realize that you've completed a major part of your life. For the most part, her schooling is behind her.

Tomorrow (Wed), I'm going to a Raptor's Game. I've never been to an NBA game, which will be exciting.

Pretty much, that's it...

What's been going on?
Sunday was fine, as I chilled...

Monday was ok, as I went for a pint with Dave Haywood.

Tuesday was even better, as I had Dragon Boat Practice. It was not too bad. Not as hard as I would have imagined, but good.

Tonight, I had a meeting, and went out with Scott Woodland. Yes, it's been a while since he's been mentioned, as he's been on a year leave from work. Lucky bastard, as I think. But he's more than put his time in for a paid leave of absence.

This weekend, I'll be heading up North to a friend's cottage. Not Steve, but a guy named Eric. It's with the guys from work. It should be fun, since it's been a while from our last outing, and that was a blast. Alex has been invited, so hopefully he'll come.

Interesting tidbits? Well, without getting completely in trouble: I found out at my meeting that the people in charge of where I work (not like directly, but the higher to highest echelons) are pretty incompetent in terms of money and management. Now, it seems that the lowly workers always have complaints that the higher ups can't nor do any good. Nevertheless, when you obviously see mismanagement, misappropriation of funds, and flat-out power struggles, it's a bit disheartening. Especially that this company is quite large, in fact, the largest of its type in Canada.

Truly, the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Unreal.

Back from the North...

So, I got back tonight, and I'm home. I left North Bay this morning, and got home.

hmm...Not a good start. Let's start this over.

Snewby, St. Patrick and Me.

Back in the 'ring, I just got back from Sarah Newby's place. Well, I shouldn't call it Sarah Newby's anymore, as she's not Sarah Newby. She's Sarah Douglas-Murray. It was nice to see Sarah, Hugh, Simon and Charlie. And Trippy and I got the full tour of Hugh's Fiat in the Garage. Man, that's one cool car.

Last night was the ever popular St.Paddy's day. Again, I'm not a huge fan of St. Patrick, so I didn't wear green. I did get a St. Paddy's hat, but still, I'm not a big fan. Linda liked it, and was wearing green, along with many of her friends at school. Sure, St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, but what's that gotta do with drinking? However, not getting down on the fact that you drink, I guess it's a good enough reason as any.

And March Break's over. Next holiday, Easter.

In Sudbury...

So, Here I am at Alex's. I finally made it. I chilled with Linda on wednesday, and she took me cross country skiing. She said I didn't look like I was having fun, but I was. I am very new to that, so I was concentrating.

I had a blast.

We then went to dinner, and came home and watched Dawson's Creek.

That's my idea of a good time.

Now, chillin' in Sudbury with Alex. It's kinda depressing. I'm not to impressed with the north. Maybe I have to find the good places to see and the neat things here, but so far, not too impressed.

We're gonna go out for Sushi, which shoud prove to be intersting, as we're in Sudbury. Y'know all those Japanese people here...

And Alex is getting bigger and bigger. Damn, he's gonna explode. Did I say he's trying out for the Olympic weight lifting team? That'll be cool. If he does, I'll wear a T-shirt with his face on it!

The day before the day...

Well, today's the day I stay and reflect. Tomorrow, I'll be also reflecting as I drive to North bay to see Linda.

I'm stopping into Huntsville to see my friend Mark Henderson, which will be good.

Ah, I'm going to be 30 tomorrow.

Neato.

What a weekend...

Holy Shoops, I say. This past few days have been quite busy. Last week, I had to get tuxes, do a car exchange, and then Steve's Wedding. It was a lot of fun.

Steve and Jen's family are pretty cool, and I didn't make any huge faux-pas'. If I did, I would be most likely sleeping with the fishes...(if you know what I mean).

Anyway, Linda came down, and it was cool, as she wore a dress I've never seen on her. She was really beautiful.

What else, Linda and I wandered Uptown (Young and Bayview / Eglinton) area, and she showed me her old Estonian Church. Wanderin' up in that area was a lot of fun, as the weather was quite warm.

And today, I did my Taxes, paid my taxes (from a few years back, I was re-assessed), and also I renewed the stickers on my car...

It's nice to be off for a few days.

Steve's rehearsal Dinner, the Piper, and meeting the Cousins...

so, the past few days have been pretty busy. Monday was just a normal Monday night, with shopping for food for the week.

Tuesday, I went to Kleinberg for the rehearsal dinner. The chapel the wedding will be at is quite small, but really nice. The whole wedding looks like it will be fun. Steve's family and Jen's family are really nice, and the whole night was jokes. It's at the rehearsal I realized that I think I may be a bit ADHD. Either that, or bored.

Tonight, I just just got home from meeting my cousins in Missisauga. It was a bit of a trek, but it was nice to chill with them, and see them. It's only when it's family get togethers or bad things do I see the family. Tonight was just to have a few drinks, and chill.

And Finally. I'm not sure about which I was talking about with the Piper. I don't know if I was the piper, or someone at work was the piper. I'll look it up, but I think I was the Piper, coming to collect my money. Anyway, it seems that the Piper may have to play an encore now. I found some things out at work that shouldn't have surprised me, but for some reason did. Without getting into too much detail (or any detail that is), I'm learning that old dogs cannot for the life of them learn new tricks. It's unfortunate that life can change, things can change, other things can change, but some people don't change. They may alter their tune slightly, but after a while, they go back to their old ways.

For those of you who know, don't worry. I'm ok, it's not involving me. It's with a co-worker. I may have to step in due to my position, but I think it may be out of my hands at this point. However, I'm there for moral support.

And here's some messages to people:

Linda: Who's the man? :)

Steve: You still can get out!

Jen: You can still get out!

Chris: Yo, I'll jump on that chess game soon. I'm interested.

Rich: You're dead this Sunday!

Jay: Word! Thanks for droppin' a line.

Jasse: Rick didn't show. He was tired/sick, or both. :(

Norm: What's up?

What a week...

Yesterday was my Mom's 40-day memorial Dinner. Well, it was actually a luncheon, but that's ok.

Friday night, I went up to Cambellford to see Linda. It was a nice drive, and it was fun to be up at her cottage. We went into the bustling town of Campbellford for a drink and I was surprised to see that they still smoke in the bars. I was taken aback, as I thought the Smoking law was across Ontario, as opposed to just regions. I guess I was wrong.

Thursday night I was busy doing work, and just other things around the house.

It's been quite a busy time, but next week is March Break. With that, I'm hoping to get out for a few days to see Linda in North bay, to see cousins in Waterloo, and also to maybe see a friend up in Huntsville. Who knows?

And it's coming close to be my Birthday, which I may run and hide. No crazy thing like last year, so I'm quite happy about that.

And Steve gets married soon. Like really really soon. This week.

Steve, you've got one week. You sure?

That goes for you too, Jen!
