Happy Halloween!

Man, has it been a while.

Lots have happened, and so much of nothing has happened.

Diwali was last week. Eid finished, and it seemed like the world near me blew up.

I got involved in a conversion about race, and one person was blaming the other for all the injustices against his race.

Ugh, it was not good. Just the wrong place at the wrong time.

The week ended off well, with JJ (Steve campbell's brother) lending me Angel. So, that's the next series I'm going to get hooked to.

Also, I found out the Steve Campbell is now officially a chef. He passed his red seal, so he's a qualified chef! Good job.

Tonight is Halloween. I am thinkin' of skipping the gym, since the drive in the evening will be crazy enough, I don't want to be part of that. Either I go and get out late, or get out early. I don't want to go late, as I want to enjoy the evening. And I don't want to leave early because then I'm rushing my workout.

I guess I'll take today off.

Man, I'm boring...

Good weekend, for the most part...

Again, my lack of specifics are the key to my blog..

what do I mean?

Ok, this weekend was good. I went to the West Rouge Canoe Club Year End Banquet, and I won the "Most Improved Paddler". I'm quite happy, as I've been trying to work hard, and it's nice to be recognized.

Linda and I found a cool kinda Antique table from a store, and the guy who sold it to us was really nice.

I went and met Chris and the boys, and we finished our game of Wushu. This game is based upon the Crazy kung Fu movies where you can pretty much do whatever you want, you just have to role to see if you do damage or not.

Playing with Rich and Logan, I realize that these guys have amazing imaginations, and I need to catch up. Some of their moves were amazing. I need to learn....

Again, I quite enjoyed the weekend.

So, the bad part was a few parts scattered in between, but not really bad. I've been fighting this cold for a while, and Linda does not want me to take the Cold & flu Medicine, as it apparently dries up your sinuses and does not let your body fight off the cold. So, I'm on Sinus medication to try to keep me coherent (she wanted to see me sick, and I'm apparently pretty useless...).

And I found out my aunt passed away last night (or during the day) in Trinidad. Not much details yet, but I'll find out tonight.

Now, if Mom was around, she'll be the one who would go down to make sure things are taken care of. She's gone, so it seems to make sense for that to fall to my Other aunt in Waterloo.

Just some background; the aunt who passed out (auntie Molly) was my mom's brother's Wife. My aunt in Waterloo (auntie Toy) is my mom's sister.

Jasse can't go, and I'm not really in a position to go. I can see Dad not wanting to go, but who needs to?

yeah...

Ugh...Getting Sick.

So, I'm getting sick.

I blame Linda. She got sick, and gave it to me.

On another note, A friend from work sent me a link to an online "Garage Sale" kinda deal in Toronto. It's called Craig's List. It's got all kinds of things for sale in and around Toronto.

Linda's been on it all morning, and found some neat stuff. So, when we move out, we can get some pretty neat used things.

What else? I got my phone back. Again, I'm not overly impressed by the Motorola V710. It's working so far, but I'm waiting for something to really mess up. Apparently if you take your phone in 3 times, they'll just replace the phone, or do something.

Again, so far, so good. I'm still skeptical.

There's no real excuse to not blog...

Y'know, I had a good week last week, and the weekend was good too. There was no real excuse not to have blogged.

It wasn't until Saturday did I realize that I didn't blog at all since Monday.

Recap:

I saw my cousin Rick from BC this past Friday. It's been about 14 years since I saw him last.

Dragon boat was fun, and tiring.

Thanksgiving weekend was good. My dad finally admitted to having a 'girlfriend'. I'm happy because he's not going to be lonely. The woman's named Wilma, and she's pretty cool.

And Also, Linda and I got the apartment we were applying for, so I'm now officially moving out.

Rawlio's World is now going to take up home someplace else, but virtually, it'll remain the same.

Linda and I are moving into the Guild, which is near Guildwood station in Toronto. Yeah, it's in Scarborough, but its 'in a nice part of Scarborough. We're near the bluffs, and I can walk 2 minutes to the lake, which I'll really dig.

Other than that, 'twas a good weekend.

This just in...

Trippy's been telling me about this for a few days now. Now, it's public, and it may be huge.

Buffy and the weekend...

So, this weekend was pretty good.

Linda and I chilled on Friday and went touring around on Saturday.

Also, we watched the last few discs of Buffy, Season 7.

I finished Buffy, and it was ok. Not quite the Series Finale I was hoping for, but not bad. I really liked the last episodes of Dawson's Creek, but I think it wasn't as apocalyptic as the end of the Buffy Series.

Now, it's on to Angel. I have to borrow seasons 1-3 from a friend, but I have seasons 3 and 4. Well, Jasse lent them to me.

Interesting thoughts? Going on the last season of buff, and having an enemy as the first evil, I guess it goes to wonder what would be the first evil? Again, getting philosophical, if good and bad were objective realities, then there would have to be the first evil.

What would that be and then to juxtapose that, what would the good be? Again, would it be God vs. the Devil? Beta vs. VHS? Mac vs. PC? Angel Vs. Spike? :)

oh well, it's kinda late. I'm currently watching the cartoon network, and there's some pretty whacked shows on after 10:00pm.
