I think it works...
I was playing around last night with the Favicon, and I think it works. If you're not sure, look in your address bar. It should have a little picture beside the address!
It's the Brown Charlie Brown...or me! What do you think?
Other than that, cold weather, nothing really happening. I'm just coasting and not really worrying too much.
Anything coming up? Hmm...not sure. I just found out that Linda's going to North Bay/ Mattawa for the first part of March Break. Maybe I'll go somewhere!

Alone for the weekend...
So, Linda went to Niagara Falls with her friends for the weekend. I was home alone and it wasn't too bad.
Friday night, I had the boyz from work come over and have a few drinks. Steve little was in town, so he joined us.
Saturday, dad and I went to waterloo to see Jasse and celebrate Angeli's birthday. Well, her birthday is actually on Tuesday, but they wanted to have it a few days before.
Saturday night, I stayed in (becuase the the weather got pretty bad) and I started watching the extended version of Lord of the Rings. I like it, because I didn't realize they filmed that much and cut all of that out.
And sunday was Dragon Boat Pool Practice. The coach has decided to put in some swimming to get out fitness up. Last week, I wasn't happy with how I swam, as it's been a really long time since I swam. But this past week was pretty good. I think I'm getting my 'fins' back.
And Sunday was spend just doing things around the apartment, like cleaning, making dinner, putting things away, etc.
All in all, not bad.
And, it's Brad Tripp's Birthday. Happy Birthday!

WorkShops, and Professional Development.
So, Not really at work, per se. Just doing catch-up things. It's nice to actually be given time to sort out paperwork, and your desk.
It's amazing what piles up here, there and in other little corners.
I've been trying to get my Favicon working, but it seems to not want to go.
Before the big Server Crash and I lost my site, the favicon was there. Now, it's gone. I made a new one, but it's not working.
Ugh. I'll figure it out tonight.
And Steve Little's coming over.
and Mr. Little (dave): I have the skates at home. I need to dig them out of a box. Sorry for taking so long, and thanks for lending me them.

Going Skating
Linda and I went out today to get skates. We're going to the local Indoor skating area. And Scotty is going to join us, him and his new girlfriend.
It'll be fun. I'm gonna learn to skate!

Remembering Mom.
Today is the official 1-year anniversary. One year ago today, mom quietly passed away, actually snoring before she went.
I don't know if I told many people this, but it was me alone in the hospital. I was reading 'Lord of the Rings', and mom was sleeping. Brad called to see how things were going, and how I was holding up. I told him things were good, for the most part. He heard something in the background, and I told him "Mom's sleeping, she's snoring, which is very comforting."
Later that night, the fire alarm went off in the hospital (about 4:00am), and I was thinking "ok....what do I do? Where does mom go?" I stayed with her. Still snoring.
A few hours later, I heard her breathing slow down, and then stop.
That was it.
And here we are, one year later.
We still miss you, Mom.

The 601st Post...
I haven't' blogged, not because I had no time, but mostly because I didn't know what to type for this blog.
Yeah, it's been almost 3 years, and I'll have something to mention when the anniversary comes.
Wow.
Tomorrow night Linda and I are going to be really adult (in a good, mature way) and have some friends come over. Jen and Steve are going to come over for dinner. It's going to be a real honest-to-goodness dinner party. We're making food, and getting the place all spiffy.
Yeah, Should be fun.

Mom's One Year Memorial Service
Today we had the one-year memorial service for Mom. It went really well. There was a lot of food, and family and friends help celebrate this occasion with us.As well, this is my 600th post on this blog. Well, not really this address, but it's been almost 3 years since I've had a presence on the web.
I'll make a note of my 3 year anniversary.
We miss you, Mom.

New Layout
Yeah,I've been promising a new webpage for a really long time.
I got a bit sick of that old "Orange" rawlio's world.
Again, I don't intend this to be permanent, but it'll do for now.
Just freeing up some time and energy to get around to 'clean' up my mess.

Just a clarification
So, just to clarify, when I say that people have their christmas lights still up, I meant to say that they're on.
Yeah, My family is guilty (not anymore!) of keeping christmas lights up all year, and then just turning them on in December.
My favourite memory is my dad putting the lights up on the house. We had a great set of lights up, all multicoloured and everything. The first year, it looked great. The second year, not too bad, a bit faded. By the 3rd year, we had pastel colours. On the fourth year, we had light pink lights.
Unfortunatly, one burnt out, and we had to replace it. My dad found the set of lights, and put it in. For some reason, it was a bit faulty, and newly coloured. So, in the light white set of lights (originally multicoloured), we had on erradically blinking red light.
yeah, the next year, we replaced them.
So, my question is: how long do you keep your lights on? I know it's ok for a little bit past New Year's Eve, but now?!?

Ok, when is Christmas done?
So, I'm driving home last last night, and I see christmas lights still up.
The question goes: How long does one keep lights up after christmas?
The only thing that makes sence to me is that "Christmas Lights" have transcended to the level of "Winter lights."
That would be nice.

What's a boy to do?
Well, Nothing really. This sunday, we're having the 1 year anniversary for my Mom. She passes away last Jan 19th, but my dad wanted to do the service just before, which brings us to this sunday coming up.
If you can make it, email me, and I'll send you details.
But I've been working on the Slideshow, which I have complete. I put some music on the slideshow, but the MP3s were slightly corrupt, so they're making funny sounds. The slideshow looks great, but still needs some tweaking.

Things are good so far.
It's sunny and cold.
I know, you don't really need to come to my blog for a weather report.
but Thank-you to those who are sending me their addresses. I'm slowly filling my address book. I can now prove that I have friends!

Bulletin! Attention...
Ok, trying to be more 'grown-up', Linda's been asking me for my friends addresses. She got me a little black book to write down addresses.
I've emailed a few people with a request for your address. If you didn't get an email and you read this, could you email me your address? Thanks.

Eat, sleep, workout, watch Angel...
That's basically what I've been doing for the past week.
Tonight, we're heading to a party at Dave's, and then most likely going to Linda's cottage tomorrow for the day.
Damn vacation is over. And Jasse's been in San Diego all week. He's back tonight.
Nothing really exciting to report.

Welcome Buffy...
So, Linda wanted to get a hamster, so she did. She let me name her. I asked (I honestly did...) and she said it was ok to call the hamster 'Buffy'.
It's a good thing we weren't watching Dawson's Creek, as the hamster might have ended up being called Joey.
So, Buffy, the Hampire slayer...
fine, a stretch.
And...
happy new year. Enjoy the holidays with you and yours.
